Week of 1/22/18

FS573 - today's Featured Stamper is Karen. Better known around here as Art Deco Diva!

I found this super cute Card,

I stenciled a partial back ground in Pink.

My own personal goal for 2018 is to use stuff up. So with my partial stenciled BG I grabbed another sheet of the mountains of stickers and added these fun stickers to finish off the card.

Here is to Happiness

CAS465 - World Travel

Used a piece of map DP and added the world die cut over it. Finished off with some left over Green Duck embellishments and a birthday banner.

My goal for 2018 is to use stuff up and this challenge was perfect for using up some of these old Green Duck embellishments.

Birthday Boat

TLC647 - Paper Towel Background

Used Moss Green on the paper towel and layered. Colored the image with pencils and finished the center off with Nuvo Drops.

My goal for 2018 is to use stuff up. This entire card is stuff that is sitting on my desk unused. I seem to have bags of die cuts that need a card so I grabbed the bags and added them to this card. :) The image was one I had sitting on my desk already colored and the paper towel I used had these dots so I thought the image was perfect for this paper towel.

Flower Pot

MMTPT496 - Fun On the Farm

Cut down the layers and glued down. Added this fun rooster from my friend Jan (Precious Kitty) and finished off with some banners from my scrap bin and some music notes because those roosters are always singing in the morning on a farm. :)

Cock a Doodle Doo

CC671 - Real Red, Whisper White & Silver

You ask where the white is??? Well I cheated a bit, I covered it with red, orange and yellow on the first card. Shhh I hope there are no challenge police here.

I am trying to use stuff up in my craft room. The diamond embossed silver was sent to me from my friend SCS Tonda Baldwin about 2 years ago and I thought it was perfect for a fireman card. Now in order to not leave stuff behind and add to my stash I used both the positive and negative and added distress inks on the white to create the fire BG on the negative. It is also on the fire EF. Finished off with some punched hearts and die cut the love, hydrant and dog.

Hero

SC681 - This weeks sketch

Stamped the owls and colored with copics. Die cut the owls and mounted on dimensionals above the moon layer. Cut the half circle out and stamped in white paint the starry night. Finished off with the white heat emboss sentiment.

Always There for You

WT672 - Give Me a Second Chance

Stamped this cute Tilda girl and colored her with pencils adding highlights with a white gel pen. Die cut the circle and scalped circle and the heart and used scalloped scissors around the heart to mirror the circle. I have not used these scissors since probably around 2005 and pulling these out of the drawer is what got me seeing all the goodies that are tucked in drawers that need used and using up the hoards of stuff.

My goal for 2018 is to use stuff up and I had these butterflies, the punched word layer and the tulips on my desk just waiting for a card and this Tilda card was perfect to add them.

Beautiful You

MIX261 - On the edge

Stamped the Heartfelt Creations flowers colored with copics die cut and added stickles. Embossed the birthday EF and did the faux burned edge on that layer and the green layer and added stickles to the edge. Finished off with some Nuvo drops.

Birthday Flowers

IC634 - Needlepoint.com - I found this Pool Table Cover

The yin and yang image is a digital image I found on line. I hand drew the circles and stamped the 8 & 9 and colored with copics. I layered it on green paper and stamped the Happy Birthday and added some fun ribbon.

Week of 1/20/18 cards

FS571 - the super talented Featured Stamper is MaryLisaK (Lisa). I found this Beauty. I was drawn to the large birthday sentiment.

For my card I cut the layers and the upper layer of white I embossed then lightly sponged some distress ink over the hearts. Then I die cut the heart (rather than the oval), embossed and added some distress ink. I finished off the card with some very large stickers (using stuff up in my stash is my 2018 goal)

Happy Anniversary

CAS464 - Hats Off

TLC673 - New Way To Silhouette

Stamped the Penny Black image and colored in with black sharpie, Sponged in the moon and skyline and finished off with white gel pen on the water.

Fisherman's Birthday

MMTPT495 - A Little Peace

To me flowers represent peace. I could look at a pretty garden for hours and if there are lilies I am just in love and really could just stay in the garden. I don't do much gardening but I do love looking at the flowers.

The wood grain panel was stamped with the Concord and 9th stamp on a tan card base then lightly sponged with tan and brown on the base.

Stamped the Altenew lilies in two different yellows on a white base and then the stamen. I added the black dots in the center and finished off with some stickles. Mounted the sentiment and added some fun green leaves.

Peaceful Flowers

SC680 - this week's sketch

Used the Paper Smooches paw print die cut and cut it out of red and black paper and reversed the pieces. Added Nuvo Drops around the outside of the heart and the paw prints to get the shine. Stamped the Artzy sentiment in versimark and used white emboss power. Layered on the paw print EF.

Paw Prints on Our Heart

WT671 - Let's Resist

Stamped the House Mouse image and colored with copics. The BG is the Wax Resist Technique.

Find a Way

F4A413 - Make a Scene

Stamped the House Mouse image and colored with copics. I just love this little scene. Finished off with some scrap DPs, a button and bakers twine.

I also found a great weekly House Mouse Monday challenge HERE and added this to the challenge. I am so excited to find this challenge and will be adding my house mouse cards here as I make them. I love making House Mouse cards they are just super cute.

Kissy Face

MIX260 - Just a Drizzle

I love the Hot Glue Embossing and love the one that is in the example. The colors are so eye catching. I did the technique found HERE.

Using similar colors and turned the card on the side. I popped the image on dimensionals and added score lines to all 4 sides of the card to frame the piece. Finished off with a sympathy sentiment to build up my sympathy stash.

Deepest Sympathy

IC633 - Frederique Morrel Artwork I found this image

Using up stuff on my desk this year I had this piece of created shaving cream BG and this challenge made me grab this piece of paper. I die cut the leaves and layered on black CS and finished off with the sentiment and Nuvo drops.

Many Thanks
